I’m Elisabeth Schuler, founder and CEO of Patient Navigator, a Board Certified Patient Advocate and Certified Senior Advisor®. In 1998, after returning from an overseas State Department assignment, my two-year-old child was diagnosed with an inoperable brainstem tumor.
Suddenly, I was thrown into a completely unfamiliar universe.
I used the skills from my Foreign Service career to research the disease, reach pediatric brain tumor specialists across the country, and learn to communicate with medical professionals. My child survived. I started Patient Navigator so others wouldn’t have to go through that maze unsupported.
Elisabeth was a voice of reason and stability during a very difficult time.
EricHer one-step-at-a-time attitude helped me calm myself and prepare for the journey ahead.
Grace, Phoenix, AZShe brought order and peace of mind to what felt insurmountable.
